Mergi Combustion Catalyst, a product manufactured by Renergi AS of Norway, is being distributed by ABOJEB Ship Management in the Philippines.
This unique catalyst, containing no metals, phenols or alcohol, is 100 % organic, fully compatible to any variety of fuel ratio 1: 4000 ( one liter of Mergi for every 4000 liters of fuel) and a high performance additive for all aspects of fuel related engine/boiler problems.
When added to fuel, Mergi provides the following performance benefits;

Renergi A/S has carried out extensive research on the ignition quality of fuels since the 1970’s, which resulted in the creation of Mergi combustion catalyst. The catalyst works by improving the ignition quality of fuels and in releasing more energy, thereby reducing hydrocarbon residues and producing cleaner emissions.
ABOJEB Ship Management has used the combustion catalyst on its fleet of managed vessels for the past three years. It has proven to reduce the ignition delay of fuel, which improves the combustion efficiency, resulting in lower maintenance costs and lower fuel consumption. Fuel and maintenance savings were significantly noted in the operations of these vessels.
Because of these significant results, the use of this combustion catalyst has spread to other Abojeb Ship Management affiliate companies. Numerous multinational companies in the semiconductor business, textile/tire manufacturers and land transport vehicles are now using Mergi to save fuel, reduce maintenance costs and address enviromental issues in compliance of RA 8749 also known as The Philippine Clean Air Act of 1999.
In addition to marine engines, Mergi Combustion Catalyst can also be applied to stationary engines as well as boilers. It improves the combustion of fuels, such as heavy fuel oil (HFO), marine diesel oil (MDO), gas oil, gasoline/petrol and diesel. It allows the use of lower quality fuels and reduces the emissions of carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxide (NOx) and hydrocarbon (HC).
Field and laboratory tests are available from Det Norske Veritas, Fueltech, Wroclaw University of Technology, Marintek, University of Technology Delft and New Sulzer Diesel. ABOJEB Ship Management has also compiled reports and details of tests done by ship owners and other industrial users. Quality control of the product is being monitored continuously by the Swedish National Testing and Research Institute.
For individual civilian use on trucks and cars, we supply special dosage bottles of 250 ml and 500 ml containers. For marine and industrial usage, MERGI Combustion Catalyst (200 liter drum container) may be introduced to the tanks through a fully automated dosage system.
