North Sea Trading has been an area of primary focus of the Jebsen Group since its inception in 1929.

Initially served by smaller handysize tonnage in the 800-7000dwt range, the pursuit of greater economies of scale has shaped our current fleet profile of self unloaders between 8-30,000dwt. The Belt self unloading mechanism represents an innovative solution to enhance voyage performance by addressing the challenges of rising shore based cargo handling costs combined with the need to constantly minimise port time through its capacity to achieve hourly discharge rates of 1300 to 3000metric tonnes continuously on a 24 hour basis. The benefits offered by this system have in turn enabled our customers to retain a leading edge in their respective industries.
