Medical services now more accessible for Panay-based Abojeb seafarers with new SuperCare Iloilo Clinic
ILOILO CITY, Philippines – Officers and crew who are based in the Iloilo and Bacolod and are under contract with global maritime leader Abojeb now have easier access to medical services after Abojeb’s medical partner inaugurated recently a new clinic here.
Located at the third floor of the Manfred’s Place Building in General Luna St., Iloilo City, the new SuperCare clinic boasts of new facilities, similar to its “one-stop shop” clinics in Manila and Cebu.
The clinic in Iloilo is equipped with the latest fully automated and computerized diagnostic machines. It also has a spacious waiting area and the interior design of the clinic provides a soothing and restful ambience for its patients.
Further, all medical personnel in SuperCare clinics have received intensive training, including seminars on how to improve customer relations.
Ms. Arleen V. Asuncion, Abojeb Senior Vice President for Crewing, who was among the key personality who attended the inauguration described the new SuperCare Clinic as “very good news” for officers and crew in the region as this makes getting medical services more convenient for them.
“This is good news for our seafarers residing in Panay Island as they can now have their PEME (Pre-Employment Medical Examination) done in Iloilo prior to deployment thereby spending more time with their family,” she said.
Pascualito D. Gutay, M.D., President and Medical Director of SuperCare Medical Services, Inc., said the new clinic reflects the company’s commitment offer convenience to its clients.

Among those who joined Ms. Asuncion and SuperCare executives in the inauguration is Iloilo City Mayor Jed Patrick E. Mabilog.
